SID moves to Lower Beeding 

A SCHEME to highlight the speed people are travelling through rural areas has been unveiled at Lower Beeding, the latest village to receive training.

A Speed Indication Display (SID), which shows a smiley or sad face depending on the speed by which it has passed, has been bought by the Horsham District Crime Disorder Reduction Partnership (HDCDRP) for use in the North Horsham area.

This complements an existing SID which is already being used in the southern parishes of the District.

Since September 2006 when the HDCDRP took delivery of the second SID, the following communities have come on board with the scheme: Rusper, Warnham, Broadbridge Heath, Rudgwick and Southwater, North Horsham, Forest and Trafalgar (both are in Horsham).
