I want to add my business to the Business Directory?
The first thing you will need to do is go the the Business Directory. (available from the section menu on the home page)

From here you need to click on submit a listing on the top left menu
The first screen you will see is the user registration screen. This is the registration of you and allows you to add, amend or cancel you community group listing.
First you are asked for a username, this can be anything you choose and is used in conjunction with your password to login to the system.

Then we require an email address. This is for us to email you and confirm your community group listing or advise you if there is a problem.

Then you are asked for a password. Please choose a password for your login. It is best to choose a password that is a mixture of numbers and letters, and one that no one else knows.
You are then asked to confirm the password. This makes sure it has been entered correctly.

You then need to click on the box next to the statement "I agree to the website Terms and Conditions" You may click on the statement to see the terms and conditions. These are to ensure that all content on the website is of an acceptable type.

Lastly you need to copy the code as you see it. This prevent any accidental registration.

Then click on Submit Registration. You then get given the choice of what type of listing you would like to have.

Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze or No Listing.

Platinum, Gold and Silver are Paid Listings.
Bronze is your free listing.
To check which  membership you would like then click on compare memberships on the top left menu.
No Listing is in case you wish to come back later and put your listing on then.

Once you have decieded on the membership you require click on that button.

This takes you to the submit listing screen. This screen has all of the sections for your business listing.  The following description is for platinum membership.  The lower memberships may not have all of sections listed as they are not required for that membership.

The first choice is for the category, as per the categories on the first screen of the business directory.
Please choose the main category your business wants its listing to be in. Once selected please wait for the screen to refresh (usually ony a couple of seconds). Once the screen has refreshed you may get another box with choices, again please choose the sub category for your listing. Once selected you will nedd to wait again for the screen to refresh. You may get a third box appear, if you do then again you need to select which your business needs to go in. Once the screen has refreshed and no more drop down boxes appear click on the select category box. (it maybe subcategory or subsubcategory). This confirms your choice of where your business listing will appear. You can if you wish now go back to the first box and make another selection if you would like your business to appear in more than one category.

The next box you see if called County. This along with the boxes under it called City/Town and Suburb is for the general location of your business.

Once you have selected where your business location is you have a box labelled "Company Name". In this box you put your trading busainess name. This is what you will be listed by, and is the first part of your business listing.
Then you have a box for a description, this can be upto 5000 characters long (approx 300-400 words) depending on the membership chosen.

Your next box is for the postal address of the business, you only need to put the number and street as everything else is taken from the location.

Then there is a box for a postcode. Thisis to complete the address and is so that the map feature can work.
You then have a box for a contact person.
Next is a contact phone number.
Next is a contact fax number.
Next is a contact mobile number. 

All contact details are by choice only, but anything you put in them will be shown under your business listing.

The next choice allows users to contact you via instant messenger, if you wish. We only support AIM, Yahoo, MSN and ICQ instant messenger systems. If you require this option then select the type of messenger system you use from the drop down menu, then alongside you need to fill in your messenger id.

Next you have an email box. This is for a general contact email address for your business, it does not have to be the same as the one you registered with. If it is different or you choose not to have an email address listed then you will get a warning box pop up just to warn you. Just click on the OK button. Last is URL/Website.

This is for your business website if you have one. Please complete in full.

Once you are happy with all the section please click on Submit Listing.
If there are any sections that are required and havent been completed you will get a warning come up telling you what is required.

If everything is OK you are then taken to a screen so you can upload a logo or an image and bannners depending on the membership chosen.

The logo can be anything to do with your business. So it can be the business logo or a picture. The only thing is the image has to a JPEG type image and a maximum of 600 x 600 pixels and 50KB. If you need to change the size of your image then you should be able to do so using the software that came with your digital camera or scanner.

To select your image click on the browse button and a box appears showing the files on your computer, find the image and the click on the open button, the box should disappear. Now click on the upload button. You will get a message saying if the upload was succsefull.

You will need to upload the images of your banners in the same way. Please remember that side banners are maximum of 120 x 120 pixels and top banners are a maximum size of 468 x 60 pixels.

Once you have uploaded your image and banners then click on the submit listing box.

Your listing will now be checked and approved within 48 hours. You can return to your membership where you can see the status of your listing, by clicking on the My Account on the top left menu.
