Horsham is the 2nd best place to live in the UK says Channel 4’s ‘The Best and Worst Places to live in the UK (shown yesterday – 26th October 2006). Using official statistics regarding crime rates, education, life expectancy Horsham has come out on top of other towns such as Tunbridge Wells, Eastleigh & Orkney. The statistics revealed that the average annual income is £27,000. The life expectancy is in the top 5%: Men live on average 79.2 years and women 83 years. We also have approximately 80 trains per day to London Victoria taking just under an hour, which makes the town very popular with commuters. 
There is no official homelessness in Horsham. Horsham is also 14th best in the country for recycling. Horsham is within the top 15% for low levels of crime. It is also in the top 10% for education with 68.6% of students achieving 5 of more GCSE’s above C grade. On the downside however, 20.1% of our adults are clinically obese!
