Online Aid in support of World Vision U.K.

“You shop online and save lives at the same time”

We would like to introduce you to our shopping portal www.onlineaid.co.uk which is a new fundraising website supporting the excellent charity World Vision U.K*

Let us explain:- GB Distribution is the holding organisation that has developed Online Aid for two reasons.

Firstly, it enables the British Public to access their favourite retailers with ease for any online purchases, but secondly and most importantly, by doing so, they are supporting our fundraising programme as for every purchase that is made via our website, Online Aid receives a small commission in return for our introductions to the respective merchants.100% of this commission is then forwarded to our Aid Africa organisation who then distributes these funds to our linked charity,  World Vision U.K*.

Cost to the public – “Nothing”……..Lives saved “Many”!

To put the potential of this in perspective, there was some £19.2 billion spent online in the U.K. last year with an average domestic amount of £816 per household for the year. If just the 200,000 people who attended Live 8 in Hyde Park (never mind the millions who shopped online), then just at a mere 1% commission, we would have been able to raise £1,632,000 and I repeat, it has cost the public nothing, just their support! Even if we only managed 20,000, that is still £163,200!! That is a lot of lives saved!

To thank and encourage the public to use our website, we have created a user friendly homepage, which enables the user not only to visit our shopping portal and support the programme, but to also have an own “home-page set-up”. This has been tailored to provide links to their email, news, surf, chat and more!!

It will take time to spread the word about this programme but the potential to raise substantial funds for World Vision UK is huge!Live Aid and Live 8 were phenomenal success stories and full praise goes out to Sir Bob Geldof and all those involved for their efforts. We just feel it is shame that it takes such “one-off” events like those to raise money and gain support and consequently we have developed this “on-going” fundraising programme.

Please spread the word:- If you shop online, use www.onlineaid.co.uk each and every time!
